ADRC of Washburn County

The ADRC of Washburn County partnered with the AARP Wish of a Lifetime Foundation to deliver 600 roses to older adults throughout Washburn County in February. They used this opportunity to combine marketing strategies to promote their USAging Vaccine Initiative and Seniors Love Pets Services. The Valentine’s card provided by AARP was blank inside so they could add their information.

Major Activities:

  • The ADRC’s Administrative Assistant took charge of the organization of the rose deliveries.
  • Beautiful Hearts Rescue jumped on board to have their dogs help deliver roses.
  • Their Meals on Wheels drivers took roses out on their meal deliveries, and another organization delivered to people when taking them their groceries.
  • The ADRC’s Nutrition Director collaborated with a photographer and videographer to capture the deliveries on film.
  • The ADRC did a postcard mailing to over 5,800 residents (they received the mailing list from their County Treasurer’s Office of people who are resident homeowners, not vacation homes).
